Kristin 
Dowdy

Kristin is a dancer, educator, and choreographer from St. Louis, MO. Ms. Dowdy received her MFA in Dance from The College at Brockport, State University of New York and BFA in Dance Performance from Ball State University, where she also holds a minor in Business.

Since 2019, Ms. Dowdy has been on faculty at Campbellsville University as an Assistant Professor of Theatre & Dance. Kristin is the Artistic Director for annual dance concerts and choreographer for departmental musicals and productions. She teaches courses in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater dance, body in performance, modern, history and analysis of musical theater, introduction to theater, performance/production, and senior seminar.

Kristin has been recognized for her choreography and sound design by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF Region 4). She has been selected to present at multiple conferences including the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC), American College Dance Association (ACDA Northeast), and National Collegiate Honors Council.

Early in her career, Kristin lived and worked in New York City where she was a member of two education based dance companies, "Jessica Lewis Arts" and "Andrew Jannetti & Dancers." While living in the city, Ms. Dowdy taught dance, gymnastics, and fitness classes to students of all ages. Kristin also spent five summers teaching dance at Camp Wicosuta, an all girls summer camp. Kristin was promoted to Dance and Fitness Activity Head after her second year and she managed the program for three years.
